For many veterans, a trip to Washington, D.C. to see their memorials is not financially or physically possible by themselves, so Honor Flight Tri-State has made it its mission to make that dream come true for as many veterans as possible.
The program offers Honor Flights to veterans so they may visit their memorials in Washington. All World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans aged 65 and older are eligible.
What They Do
To date, Honor Flight Tri-State has taken more than 6,000 veterans on this trip of a lifetime. If a veteran does not have a family member to accompany them, Honor Flight will assign a qualified and enthusiastic guardian ready to assist them on their trip.
The Honor Flight trip is at no cost to the veterans and all veterans over the age of 65, whether they served stateside or overseas, are eligible to apply. All flights include airfare, a bus tour, an Honor Flight Tri-State signature T-shirt, a name badge souvenir, three meals, and an assigned guardian on a one-day trip.
How We’re Helping
Our donation of $1,000 will be used to help Honor Flight Tri-State to meet its goal to fly 400 veterans to see their memorials this year. Honor Flight receives no government grants and 100% of all monies raised or donated go directly to flying the veterans.
